4. Validity Period of E-way Bill


An E-way bill is a document that is valid for a specific period. This period is determined according to the distance traveled by the transporter to deliver the goods. In this regard, it's advisable to ensure that the distance of the transportation is accurate and capture it accordingly while generating the E-way bill.


In general, the validity period of an E-way bill differs:


• For Freight Vehicle-1 day validity for every 100 km or part thereof based on a total distance run from the origin of goods to the destination.


• For Other Modes of Transport- 1 day validity for less than 100 km and additional 1 day validity for every 100 km or part thereof based on total distance to be conducted from Origin Goods to destination.


5. Ensure accuracy and Timeliness of Generating E-way Bill

To avoid delay in the delivery of goods or compliance issues, ensure that the E-way bill is generated correctly within the time limit allowed.
